Linear
We stood in a circle, holding hands
and we let each other down
she was there too
the girl from the corner
next door
staring down at her feet
i say weep
i say sleep
and keep me in your mind
Throwing rocks in the seaside
i knelt and crept
and oh did i hide
away from the lights
and fights
but, figures
somebody followed
and wallowed
and revered in it all
the brain don't
work
in linear
my mind don't head in
any direction
my feet, pacing along
dragging
my soul-less body
along the beach
i sit
and remember
lost bits and fragments of life
which i am
happy to leave behind
although, the question consumes me
where did they go?
and we let each other down
she was there too
the girl from the corner
next door
staring down at her feet
i say weep
i say sleep
and keep me in your mind
Throwing rocks in the seaside
i knelt and crept
and oh did i hide
away from the lights
and fights
but, figures
somebody followed
and wallowed
and revered in it all
the brain don't
work

my mind don't head in
